So I’ve been experimenting with different comic formats. Most of my readers view my comics on cell phones so in an effort not to spoil the punchline too soon (this is extremely important to me), I’ve used the “vertical scroll” format. It is a lot easier just doing a simple “square” format that fits nicely in Instagram and Facebook but the element of surprise for the setup of the joke is just too important to ignore! One day if I ever publish a book or an anthology, I think the square format is best.
