My little 2 year old girl was practicing her imperatives with our 7lb dog Pocket one day. In her cute little toddler voice, she kept shouting at Pocket to “Shoo shoo!” Pocket though, just sat there and stared her wide-eyed stare and didn’t budge an inch. Then it occurred to me that “shoo” basically sounds like “shoe”. Then, the rest they say, is history.
